“After six weeks of training I thought it was time to weigh in on my experience. From my first workout I could tell that something special was happening here.

The vibe at IB Strong is super chill, extremely accommodating and appears to be very intentionally inclusive. People of all ages and walks of life are genuinely having fun, getting better and developing positive habits. That may not be important to everyone, but to me, that's SUPER cool to be a part of.

All the coaches make sure you're comfortable with each exercise in the moment and, unlike gyms, they never coach you to muscle failure blowout while saying "just one more!!" aggressively. Hey, that approach could work great for some people but for me, I have to function the next day and plus even Joe Rogan says it's better to visit the gym more often rather than doing hyper-max workouts a few times a week (for lots of reasons).

Finally, I normally get bored easily and ditch routines because of it but here the coaches mix things up every day. Sure, there's a core foundational set of exercises but the movement variety, emphasis on technique, fun, safety, posture and vibe keep me coming back and on track.

Join, I guarantee it'll be awesome.”

“I'm so glad I gave this place a try. I've lost weight and gained muscle definition. Ivan is an excellent (I mean EXCELLENT) trainer who seems to be extremely knowledgable about how to design a workout that truly produces results. I'm a female in my 40's, have a toddler at home AND I run a business. I'm committed to health and fitness and I need my workouts to be consistent (at the same time... EVERYTHING is about the schedule!) and good and I'm not a beginner. I was a little intimidated by the photos of this gym. It looks very male-centric. But I read another post by a woman who has had babies and trains with Ivan and I decided to give it a try.

Ivan's workouts are not easy. This is not Jazzercise. But if you're committed to results and not afraid to work, you don't need to be a super experienced weight lifter to get results here. Ivan will show you and be very patient, working on form and giving you feedback until you get it right.

In the 8:30am time slot right now I'm very comfortable with the other folks who are working out with me. Often it's mostly women and we've developed a nice rapport so it's not male-centric for me at all.

I've worked out with several trainers and paid the big bucks and this is the best local trainer/workout I've ever had, by far. And you really can't beat the price for a custom, personalized workout.

Definitely check the place out! Ivan won't disappoint.”

“I am currently the longest standing trainer working out of IBStrong gym and have been working here for almost four years and would like to address a situation that occurred yesterday that I was both not present for and also not in any way involved. My point of view is simply as a co-inhabitant of the gym.

First, I'd like to make it known that Ivan owns and operates his own strength and conditioning business out of this gym, while also allowing individuals like myself and any other qualified trainers to rent use of the facility as "sub contractors" to a degree. So with that being said, I'd like to clarify that the gym has an environment that is different than most commercial gyms because the trainers aren't under Ivan's direct control when managing clients & how we go about our in-gym routines. The reason I state this is to inform those who have never been here, that there aren't specific protocols for situations that arise such as the one yesterday (at least not yet, and after this event I have a feeling there will be changes made to bring awareness to anyone working in the gym on how to properly address such issues.)

No excuse making here, simply trying to take a situation that I believe was misread from one side and help find a solution in order to avoid something like this from repeating itself. I too tend to play music from pre-created Spotify gym playlists that contain uncensored lyrics and have never run into any issues, but that doesn't discount the feelings/emotions of the accusations. I think it all could have been managed better with more discussion, but again not being present I can't speak on the emotions that were being felt in the moment.

This gym is the most diverse and inclusive I've ever worked at, and reading some of the comments in support of yesterday's events are misleading and harmful to a business that allows myself and other trainers that were not involved to make a living and help our clients. I'm a cis white male, so I can't perceive the situation properly from both sides so forgive I am trying my best to not negate the allegations or come off as ignorant but I'm trying my best and believe that if all parties involved were to have a conversation, it would clarify a misunderstanding that wasn't intended against her race or gender, but an unusual flow of the gym environment at a very early hour on a random and now sad Tuesday morning.”

“I love Ivan & his classes are amazing! This is coming from someone who didn't even know how to do a proper squat. I have been going to his morning classes now for about 6 weeks now and I really enjoy them.

He is a great teacher and he will make sure that you get your foundations right. I am noticing small changes to my body and my strength is building up gradually.

He is very chill & calm; But not about the workout routines! he has a great mix of full body conditioning workouts that are very challenging. It's tough! But the group energy is great and it's inspiring to have Ivan around.

Surprisingly, I've be able to do more than I initially thought I can do. You can trust his process.”

“Ivan is the trainer of trainers. His gym offers personalized programs in an intense yet fun group setting, saving you money while maximizing results.

Most group classes have all members do the same routine, which does not work as there is no one size fits all in fitness. Ivan's classes are customized to each individual's goals and current fitness level. It is amazing to witness how he specifies and teaches every client while pushing everyone past their limits without going past the breaking point of overtraining.

I was a former martial artist who had a severe spine, shoulder, and nerve injury that left me paralyzed in my arm and chest. Doctors said I would never lift my arm again, much less train again. https://www.bodybuilding.com/teen/achang.htm

I've worked with the best in the world to find a way to heal my body (including the personal trainer of Barry Bonds and various doctors of UFC champions). I've never been able to train or feel the way I did before my injury, with anyone or anything. That is until I met Ivan and experienced his amazing training that helped me lose over 20 lbs of fat and gain over 12 lbs of muscle in just 1 month!”
